a special day, part i

This blog post is particularly dear to my heart!

Here is a snippet into our August wedding day, captured by Nirav – with his unassuming kindness and quiet, powerful talent – who was able slink between guests and amongst shadows, capturing the misty daylight in the most breathtaking ways.

Ours was a two-part celebration on a relentlessly rainy day, within a hilltop house surrounded by midday trees, and then up a set of stairs overlooking a sleepy road by evening. The climate outdoors dipped towards a cooler autumn as the day went on and all of us, sheltered within, celebrated in each others' warmth as the sound of new friends and live music slipped easily over the candlelight and windowsills, out onto the streets.
My brother strumming on his wooden ukelele, my dear friend singing a rendition of 'I Will' by The Beatles, and we, holding hands under the blessing of J's childhood friend and vicar, laughed and cried in the intimate circle of our closest and oldest friends.
It was one of the best, most joyful, exhausting, and emotional days yet. Looking back at the photographs is nothing short of magic for us.

More photographs to follow soon.
