futuristic folds

This one is reaching back into 2011.

The traditional art of paper origami was given a shiny revamp with several rolls of metallic mylar. I've been thinking about my time over at Fiona Leahy, and how much I'd love to create more paper sculpture installations here in Hong Kong. Below are a few of the pieces we spent weeks creating for the February Elle UK Style Awards that year (each of the 400+ origami invitations that were sent out were also lovingly hand-folded us!). Ever versatile, there's just something about paper art that never gets old.

Below: an optical tiled room divider; sculptural table centres (modern twist on Valentine motif); the oversized pendant above the bar. (Click on images to enlarge.)
