A Fall Hike

I've learned that the ending of summer in Hong Kong means a sigh of cool relief: opened windows throughout the house, enjoyable moments of exploring the city without having to stop and wipe damp sweat from your neck, perfect breezes for weekend hikes...

J and I took up to the mountains on Saturday morning for a few hours of good fresh air and much needed movement. Haven't had a warm fall since 2004 and am finding myself pleasantly surprised to be wearing shorts in the middle of November, all the while missing the briskness and crisp colours so typical of winter's arrival in England and Canada.
